Plant-based meat substitutes have been available for years, including at grocery stores and fast food joints – usually faux beef burgers. Now, fake steaks are being created by 3D printers and being served in restaurants.
Redefine Meat – an Israeli startup – makes 3D-printed steaks. Redefine Meat uses ingredients including soy, pea protein, beetroot, chickpeas, nutritional yeast, and coconut fat to make their plant-based steaks. Redefine Meat’s 3D-printed meat is designed to mimic flank steak.
