SAN DIEGO —
A U.S. Navy helicopter carrying six crew members crashed into the ocean off the coast of San Diego Tuesday afternoon, the Navy said in a statement. A search for its crew is ongoing.
One sailor was rescued from the water, said Navy Lt. Sam Boyle, a 3rd Fleet spokesman in San Diego. Five are missing, the Navy said late Tuesday evening.
