President Joe Biden vowed to repair the nation’s failing bridges after rescuers had to form a human chain to save four people from a commuter bus in Pittsburgh Friday morning.
Biden had already planned to spend Friday afternoon in Western Pennsylvania and went immediately to the site of the collapsed Forbes Avenue bridge upon arriving in the Steel City.
‘I’ve been coming to Pittsburgh a long time, and as a former Pennsylvanian, but I didn’t realize they’re literally more bridges in Pittsburgh than any other city in the world. Did you know? More than in Venice,’ Biden remarked at the site.
