How to Watch the Launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (and Why It’s Big Deal)

 

Astronomers, scientists, and space-hobbyists all over the world are nervously chewing their nails this holiday season over the Christmas Day launch of the James Webb Space Telescope. If all goes according to plan, liftoff will take place on Dec. 25 at 7:20 a.m. ET. If you’re in French Guiana, you can watch the launch live at the Guiana Space Center in Kourou.
