Mark Zuckerberg’s mysterious new ‘metaverse’ project is hiring 10,000 people

Facebook announced its plans on Monday to create 10,000 high-skill jobs across the European Union over a five year period to develop CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s vision of a “metaverse.” 

“Working with others, we’re developing what is often referred to as the metaverse — a new phase of interconnected virtual experiences using technologies like virtual and augmented reality,” the company wrote in a blog post.
