Met Gala fans blasted the star-studded event on Monday with some claiming sponsor Jeff Bezos had made the once-exclusive soirée feel ‘gauche.’
‘I hate the Met Gala. It’s a glaring display of just how out of touch the rich really are,’ one person wrote on X.
Several of the Amazon founder’s billionaire peers were among those in attendance, including the Soros siblings, Mark Zuckerberg, Walmart heir S. Robson Walton, and Mike Bloomberg.
Earlier in the evening, stars arrived to the Met for fashion’s biggest night amid a backdrop of protesters and celebrity outrage.
