Nord Stream 2 Operator Says It Has Registered German Subsidiary, Opening Door to Certification

German regulators halted the certification of Nord Stream 2 AG as an independent pipeline operator in November, saying regulatory approval would be forthcoming only if and when the company was organized under German law.

Nord Stream 2 AG, the Switzerland-based operator of Nord Stream, has established a German subsidiary, the company announced Wednesday.
