Pair of glasses believed to have belonged to Mahatma Gandhi with his name engraved on the 10 carat gold-plated frames are set to sell for £10,000 at auction

A humble pair of spectacle frames could sell for £10,000 – as they once reputedly belonged to Mahatma Gandhi.
The 10 carat gold-plated frame were bought from a small antique shop in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in India by the vendor’s father.
They are engraved ‘1/20 10 MK Gandhi’ and were acquired for a meagre 5,000 rupees, or £50.
