Few landmarks are as instantly recognizable as the Eiffel Tower. By day, its imposing steel frame towers over the Parisian landscape, and by night, it glitters to golden life as a fitting centerpiece for the City of Lights. But what happens to the Eiffel Tower late at night, when all but the late-night club kids, skeleton shift workers, and insomniacs have gone to sleep?
In the weird hours between the dead of night and the crack of dawn, the Eiffel Tower puts on a pretty wild performance for those still awake to see it. Erin Trindle, an American expat living in Paris, caught the Eiffel Tower’s late-night performance at 4 am on November 20, living her followers amused and confused.
