The package is said to be placed in front of the Turkevi (Turkish House) in New York City, a site near UN headquarters.
Police have cordoned off an area near the UN headquarters in New York over a suspicious package.
The bomb squad is on its way to the scene, and the NYPD has cleared a two-block radius around the mission. Traffic in the region has been restricted too, a Sputnik correspondent said.
A video from the site shows the NYPD blocking the area.
