The Taliban is warning any foreign troops remaining after President Biden’s Sept. 11 deadline to pull the US military from Afghanistan will be considered an “occupying force” – a threat that comes as hundreds of Afghan security personnel flee Taliban fighters into neighboring Tajikistan, according to a report on Monday.
Most US and NATO troops have pulled out of the war-torn country — with the clearest indication of the pace of the withdrawal coming last week when the US handed over Bagram Airfield to Afghan security forces.
