A massive fire tore through a 1-million-square-foot medical distribution facility in Tracy on Thursday afternoon, unleashing explosions, thick plumes of black smoke, and a large-scale emergency response that forced nearby warehouses to evacuate.
The blaze erupted shortly before 2 p.m. inside a facility operated by Medline Industries, located in the ProLogis International Park of Commerce, according to the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services.
