BATON ROUGE, LA – Black Lives Matter organizer DeRay Mckesson can be sued by a Baton Rouge police officer who was seriously injured during a violent 2016 protest, Louisiana’s state supreme court has decided.
The determination was announced March 25 and was intended to answer questions raised by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on whether the officer can sue the organizer of an event that ended in a crime.
