Bodies of six ‘murder victims’ with hands tied up found in ‘mass burial pit’ under pub

Archaeologists have identified four skeletons at the site of an old Cork pub, which is believed to be a mass burial pit where they met a tragic end.

In October last year, former pub Nancy Spain’s on Barrack Street was taken over by Cork City Council and was in the process of being demolished – but builders found skeletal remains.

Further investigations have now led to the discovery of six bodies in total.
