Canada’s immigration ministry has been asked by Canadian tech employers to extend a program launched last month that has seen 10,000 foreign tech workers in the U.S apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Canada should do that.
On July 16, Canada launched a fast-track work-permit program that targeted 10,000 non-citizen tech workers in the U.S. to relocate in Canada. Those who applied and met eligibility requirements would be granted permanent Canadian resident status on an expedited basis, within six months.
