ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Russian national Igor Danchenko, charged as part of Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation, pleaded not guilty Wednesday to five counts of making false statements to the FBI.
Danchenko is accused of lying about the source of information that he provided to Christopher Steele for his “dossier” on then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. He entered the plea before Judge Anthony John Trenga in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, in Alexandria.
