Strange, life-like doll destined for the dumpster turned out to be rare antique that sold for $66,000 at auction

A doll on the verge of being thrown away was saved from a house clearance sale and was sold for more than $60,000 at auction after it turned out to be a rare antique. 

Even though the doll’s foot had been previously chewed off by a puppy, a bidder in the US bought the doll earlier this week for £52,675, about $66,000, according to Vectis Auctions.
