In his 83 years of existence, Superman has been the gold standard by which all other superheroes are judged. Created in 1938 by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, he’s become the most iconic comic book character ever – recognized the world over as a paragon of what it means to be a true hero.
